The UN Palestine Committee seeks input of Baha'i's on future of mandated territory.

On July Shoghi Effendi (Head of the Baha'is at the time) received a letter from the Committee requesting a statement on the relationship the Baha'i Faith has with Palestine and the Baha'i attitude towards any future changes on the status of the country. Shoghi Effendi explains: ...it is in the soil of Palestine that the three Central Figures of our Religion are buried and...it is also the permanent seat of our Administrative Order...What does concern us, however...is that the fact be recognized by whoever exercises sovereignty over Haifa and Acre.
