Once again, the BIC served as chair of the NGO Committee on Freedom of Religion, Conscience and Belief. The BIC was recognized for its leadership on the Working Group in the following areas: creating the advocacy strategy to lobby U.N. Member States, preparing the statement for the Commission on the Status of Women, conducting strategic planning meetings, facilitating the development of an annual plan and implementing a new organizational structure.
