The Baha'i International Community established a Refugee Desk to coordinate relations with the Office of the High Commissioner and to assist Iranian Baha'i refugees seeking asylum. By 1994, over 10,000 Iranian Baha'i refugees are successfully resettled from refugee camps located in Pakistan and Turkey.
