Mairead McGuinness, Vice-President of the European Parliament and responsible for the Article 17 dialogue with Churches religious and non-confessional communities, together with Antonio Tajani, President of the European Parliament, hosted a European Parliament Article 17 dialogue seminar on ‘The External Policies of the EU’. The dialogue brought together EU actors with Churches and religious communities to debate the role of the EU in the world, and the EU’s engagement with faith-based development actors on the ground.

Contributions made by those present pointed out the need for policies to draw on the insights and long-standing experience of faith actors and networks. The Baha’i International Community, Brussels Office is a dialogue partner under Article 17 and attends related meetings at the European Parliament.
