BIC attends Rome Temple Opening and Conference on Human Dignity in Rome
The Bahá’í International Community (BIC) Brussels Office attended a conference entitled Religious Voices, Human Dignity and the Making of Modern Human Rights, co-hosted by the International Center for Law and Religion Studies of Brigham Young University Law School.
Before the start of the conference, the BIC, together with members of the European Platform Against Religious Intolerance and Discrimination (EPRID), visited the newly built temple of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints in Rome. Ms. Nura Detweiler, who attended the visit on behalf of the BIC, commented that “this is a special honour, as the temple is only open to the public before its dedication. I was particularly touched by the peaceful atmosphere and the beauty of the temple.”
