At a recent UN Expert Group Meeting for the Commission for Social Development, Mr. Ming Hwee Chong, Representative of the Baha'i International Community, participated and presented a paper on behalf of the NGO Committee for Social Development. The Meeting was held in preparation for the upcoming 51st session of the Commission and it took place 10-12 September 2012 in New York. It considered the theme of “promoting people’s empowerment in achieving poverty eradication, social integration and productive and decent work for all.” The outcome of the meeting is expected to assist the Commission as it prepares to review this theme at its upcoming session in February 2013.
